Hello , and I hope you have had a pleasant Easter My fellow Judges,
All the foil wrappers and the remnants of the chocolate overload all disposed of I hope. I am currently writing this on the sofa with the grey clouds scudding outside. At least the birds are a little quieter at 4 am ! So what is new with you Judges’ ? Did you get out and about like many of the Brit’s who took to the motorways and sky over the break? If so, I do hope you had a great time wherever you went.
I am not sure if any of you read the Saturday Telegraph on 07/04/12 , they had the most intense cover shot from behind the scenes with the Italian Duo Dolce & Gabbana. The majority of the article is illustrated with their forth coming A/W12 collection which is a Sicilian take on the Baroque trend that is emerging a strong contender for A/W12.
This look is perfect for the explosive Duo and shows there strengths with strong shapes in flattering feminine shapes, with heavy gilded style patterns, lashings of lace, heavy needlepoint inspired floral shocks amongst a heavy background of black and cream. The collection is one of the strongest in many a year and nods back to Dolce & Gabbana’s show stopping collection in ‘92 La Dolce Vita which is one of the collections that is responsible for hurtling the Duo to the forefront of feminine glamour and dramatic dressing.
Alongside this collection the current trend for lace is inspired by period drama’s, a sense of more opulent times and of course the ultra feminine look that is seeing a surge on the high street.
We do have a limited stock of the exquisite
Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses from last season that will dress up any outfit to bring it to the height of style. The sunglasses are a large frame in various colours and have been made using a special technique of laser cut lace then impregnated into an acetate to make what can only be described as a stylish contradiction. Technology versus tradition, Judges all i can say is if it’s a purchase for yourself or a loved one the
Dolce & Gabbana designer sunglasses collection will have you looking on top form in the style stakes.
For now Judges I am off to run a bath and catch up with some ancient aliens ( my new addiction )
Ciao for now

Well Judges,
What a great Easter present Dior has given to the world. Hot off the press we would like to pass onto our fellow Judges’ the following exciting news….
Looks like the news has broken onto every fashion blog or magazine facebook page around the globe. Raf Simons has been appointed the creative director of the house of Dior. Last month Dior dismissed this news though with the excellent job the Simons did at the ailing Jil Sander it comes as no surprise he has been given the role at one of fashions most influential design houses. The future looks bright for the House of Dior. The house is back in safe hands after a few tempestuous months.
I would like to wish him well and look forward to the coming months and his first collection. We will keep you informed of any news we find.
Keep ‘em peeled,

Well the rain and cold are hitting us hard again fellow Judges,
I hope the week is treating you well and that Easter was not a total washout ? I am sat here typing away in a freezing flat …and to compensate, I have a brandy and a slice of Carluccio’s Easter cake. I can assure you Judges, it is a hard life… and this blogging makes a writer a tad peckish.OK ,I am just a greedy guts….put chocolate in front of this Judge and I’ll snatch your hands off. Revels are my downfall ….. either that or Reece’s pieces.
So enough of chocolate and cake, and onto good old Adele. Karl Largerfeld recently called her fat, and to apologise he has taken to sending her numerous Chanel bags and accessories to make anyone jealous. Karl, you can call me anything you wish…..just send me some of your new shoes!
Mind saying that I have thought of late the Chanel collections have lacked a certain’ wow’ factor and Mr Largerfeld has let himself slip a little, and is not paying attention to the likes of Bottega veneta who may to some of you be a new kid on the block ,but the quality and design that go into their products put them up amongst the likes of Chanel and Dior.
Talking of the House of Dior , it seems all is still a little uncertain, whilst waiting for the announcement of the new creative director, names bandied about previously were Marc Jacobs and Raf Simmons …alas neither have been crowned with the accolade and Jacobs will continue with his relationship with Louis Vuitton… .My tip will be a newcomer from Britain or Paris or maybe someone who would make an ideal king of couture ….Tom ford perhaps.
Dior sunglasses this year in my opinion have not only created a simply stunning collection of Sunglasses this season with Cat’s eyes, massive big frames and aviators a plenty but not only that a collection named ‘ Les Marquises ‘ an offshoot of the main collection but marry’s it altogether in perfect harmony.
The Dior sunglasses collection can only be described as pure class and includes gold, silver , nudes, black , brown and of course Dior’s obligatory black.
So ladies, if you wish to look classic, on trend or just love great design Dior shades are this season’s safe bet for finishing off any summer look.

Princess Beatrice running the 10k run for life last weekend, now that is one lady I think could do with a huge pair of sunglasses ( XXL).
Talking of Sports and the Olympics if you have looked on the banner you may have noticed
Prada Linea rossa sunglasses latest ad campaign is fronted by Britain’s very own Boxing superstar Amir Khan amongst other’s. Prada is going for gold with the images of these Heavyweights hitting home the message that if you are serious about your sports then Go for
Prada Sport sunglasses.

Hello and Good Evening,
Well the Bank hoilday weekend is nearly upon us and it looks like it will be a total washout. Scotland is as usual having two seasons in one day with Sun and Snow. I have already eaten enough chocolate to sink a battleship and can’t face another hot cross bun.
I am thinking on my Monday off I may pop over to have an amble about in the peak district but if the weather carries on much like this then I will be staying home and cracking on with even more website or blog stuff to keep you hungry Judges entertained in the future.
So for you lovely judges that love to read my blog I am also becoming a dab hand with facebook so join me on send optics and like the content to follow me and my little quips on a quicker format. This website is always open for suggestion, and if you would like to recommend new brands for us to feature, please contact us.. This is as much your site as ours.
You all may have been looking at the Dior’s and wondering what the
Black tie collection is all about …well in simple terms, for you fans of high quality French style then look no further. Dior’s black tie collection is the highest in the style stakes for men. The simple shapes are limited but designed for all face shapes in mind.
Men you only need to think one thing when you think sunglasses, think nothing more than
Dior hommes sunglasses.
Happy Easter

Well hello Judges,
How the devil are you ? I currently have the radio blaring in the background and am loving the sun coming through the window. The birds sound far too joyous hence the volume being up full on the radio and also one of my current favourite tracks of the moment came on. Gotye is a musical joy rocking a sound that hails back to Peter Gabriel.
My wine glass is long tonight with lots of ice amongst a crisp glass of Pinot, Cheers Judges here’s to a long good summer.
I have been trawling through magazines and so many other sources. With this sun I have not been getting square eyed but my head suddenly thought wifi so I am enjoying the sun and am on the decking writing to you. I hope you are not reading this chained to your desk’s, if so remember the Judge Say’s take five away from your screen every so often to rest your valuable peepers.
So i am still up in the air about where to take my holidays but i have at least sorted my luggage. You may have noticed a label on the site you have not heard much of before or for the style savvy’s out there reading this one you have been watching for many years.
Allow me to introduce Bottega Vetneta an artisan luxury label based on a strong principle of craftsman ship with a high fashion element. My recent experience was ordering a weekend bag to use as my hand luggage persuaded by a friend to consider looking at the product from a craftsmans eye I looked on the website to see what is actually involved in making the bag, the processes to make the woven leather right through to the final knot is an experience in it’s own right . Hand plaited leather is stunning and the bag I know will outlast me. Bottega Veneta has recently enjoyed launching it’s first perfume amongst another successful cruise line collection and both menswear and womenswear collections making huge impacts in the luxury fashion market.
The
Bottega Veneta eye wear collection is no different in it’s detailing with etched arms with the same woven pattern as the handmade case they are packaged in. The distinct butterfly logo features subtly on the end of arm. The collection of
Bottega Veneta Designer Sunglasses can only be described as streets ahead of this season’s disappointing Chanel collection which looks like a poor cousin. Celebrities love the look of Bottega Veneta with the likes of Emma Watson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese witherspoon along with the Olsen twins ( otherwise known as clothes horses)
For now Judges
This is the Judge Signing off

Hello Judges,
This early summer is so nice… the blue of the skies , the smiles on my patients’ faces… it all seems to add up to make us feel better on the outside and in. Well ,my patients’ are all a twitter about their holiday plans and the talk of bank holidays. Now what should I do this Easter… gorge on Easter eggs and watch James Bond as normal, or should I eat Easter eggs and write blogs …. You know me too well already.
So talking of Easter eggs, what is your favourite Easter egg? Mine is Reece’s peanut buttercups one ……mmmmmmmm!
So today I am talking all things Prada again ! This year is seeing so much activity from the military like bunker that is home to the Prada headquarters. Muccia has made a massive impact over the past 30 years in charge of the Label introducing what she call’s a new aesthetic to the modern language and the style that she chooses to proclaim as Bugly beautiful yet Ugly in lay mans terms.
Her style is unique and looks sometimes like a beautiful car crash and this season seems to throw this in the face of all you fashionistas with her advertising campaign for Prada mainline. Advertising for her younger more accessible line Miu Miu is perfectly beautiful all about her fantastic electrifying pallet of bleached out citruses against reds with her over sized cameos.
Muccia is not interested in making clothing for the perfect beauties of the fashion world. She calls herself a dramatic voyeur and loves to see the drama’s of the everyday folk and incorporate these rich tales into the background of her works. She loves the cliches that are femininity in todays female world. Think delicate lace against the likes of python or leopard print.
Prada and Miu Miu are in their own rights trail blazing luxury labels for the daring and fashionably brave who love quality with a fashion that has substance as well as being the correct label to be seen in …… The world is Prada and Muccia loves nothing better than having her hand in from start to finish.
Muccia in her own also states the labels feed off each other and keep both fresh and at the forefront of the trend stakes.
Miu Miu carte noire sunglasses this year has been one of the must have accessories fro all the fashion pack and even I have sent pairs out to Conde Naste… see, sometimes the Judge is too ahead of the London shops, proving it’s not only what you know .
So Judges for today I am off to eat my dinner and sort a few bits out before an early night
Keep em peeled

Good day fellow Judges,
How is the week treating you ! I hope you are out and about enjoying the wondrous Mad march temperatures. It seems us Brit’s are revelling in the sun and over the weekend I took full advantage and had a busy Sunday doing paperwork and then in the afternoon I decided to go for a run. The sun was glorious and my
Oakley sunglasses really did the job at protecting my peeper’s from the glare.
So what is new in the world of fashion this time around. Well it seems that you style savvy Judges have been totally immersed in the latest shapes of sunglasses. This year See’s a move away from the Rayban wayfarer to more outlandish shapes with a real retro feel. Ladies popular styles are anything from a cat’s eye sunglasses to bigger rounded frames or even visor style’s.
So men for you changes are pretty much the same as women with a move away from aviator shapes though, we still have plenty on offer from the likes of
Armani sunglasses who has incorporated leather bridges and arms to his to finish the beauties of in true luxury style.
Men’s shapes are either retro shapes or performance related. Either way you guys have a brilliant choice of discounted designer sunglasses.
So for now I am off to potter on the decking and have a read of the newspaper, enjoy the last few ray’s of the day.
Keep it Real,

The Bare faced cheek
Well so far 2012 is bring us a wealth of varying trends and it seems anything goes in relation to sunglasses as long as the main principles are followed. This year sunglasses are going more retro than ever before with shapes reflecting shades from the 1800’s and the swinging sixties from Downtown and W.E. to Boardwalk Empire and the latest offering from BBC inspired by the on/off relationship between David Bailey and Jean Shrimpton ‘we’ll take Manhattan’.
The future is as round as the globe and angles are more subtle with simple sweeps of edges rather than the sharp angles of previous years.
This trend will compliment the look of outifts that are being presented for A/W12 with the likes of Alberta Ferretti in her roaring 20’s inspired high luxe collection with more than just a nod towards Erte’s great illustrations. Dolce&Gabbana’s Baroque inspired menswear collection and Prada who is re-visiting the land of gentry in Muccia’s subtle love of the classic man in her unique twist.
Colourwise in the collections of sunglasses nude is a hot look though some may say a little impractical, think gold and of course clear and the sexiness of tobacco/amber ( who ever said smoking was bad for you never saw Paul smith)
Description: Paul Smith Chaucer PM8162 olive tortoise Paul smith-Chaucer PM8162 Olive/Brown
So come on all let’s rebel against the austerity packages and cheer ourselves up with some high lux wear and think sod the saving we may all be gone by 21.12.12 but at least we look frigging amazing.
Also look out gold this season in sunglases is more a subtle matte tone rather than the shiny yellow look of the past so come on let’s embrace it and stay cool.

Also don’t forget to keep ‘em peeled for our new lines coming by the end of January where we hope you will be as pleased by the offerings as us…….
