2012 sunglasses style that may change your life.

Well hello Judges,
My goodness this week seems to be flying , and i cannot believe that we are edging ever closer to the summer months. Bring it on , as then everyday i can wear another one of my ever growing sunglasses collection. There has to be an upside to being optician , and summer sure is one of the best times.
So how has your week been going?.. I have to say mine has been going rather well. I have a party to go to at the weekend… a friend’s birthday ,so I am looking forward to letting my hair down. and have a Sauvignon Blanc or 3!. What is your tipple of the moment ?…a friend of mine keeps going on about Pink gin but it always reminds me of politicians during the war years.
I don’t know if you happened to read the Mail on Sunday’s last week in the’ You’ magazine. I came across an article that has inspired the next section of this blog. Simply, it grouped together the four main shapes for sunglasses and matched them with designer sunglasses.
So in a way this blog will do the same except go one step further and recommend which face shape suits which trend and not forgetting aviators.
Round sunglasses - These are back with a bang, and are taking over the faces of many up and down the country ranging from small to large frames. Available in various colours but to be ahead of the trend think tortoiseshell for that real authentic/classic look.
Think the Beatles, Liam Gallagher, Hirohito and Gandhi .
Round sunglasses suit people with a strong bone structure, long or oblong face as it helps to soften the sometimes harsh angles.
Labels that really do this trend justice are Balenciaga sunglasses, Bvlgari sunglasses, Gucci sunglasses and Tom Ford sunglasses .
Retro Sunglasses have been coming up trumps, and I have so many genuine retro and also ‘newtro’ sunglasses this is a look that will never leave, as the colours and shapes are classic and just get a freshen up each season. This season the introduction of tobacco shades and amber makes the new sunglasses look aged and shapes hail from any bygone era, larger frames tend to be taking inspiration from the 60’s think Jackie O, Mary Quant, Andy Warhol, Arthur Askey and Harold Lloyd.
The retro sunglass is dependant on shape but if they are more rounded than angled people with square, triangle or oblong face shapes will benefit though people with a heavier set face will benefit from something with more of angle.
Labels to look for to head back to the golden age are:- Oliver Peoples sunglasses, Stella McCartney sunglasses,Giorgio Armani sunglasses and Paul Smith sunglasses .
Cat’s eye sunglasses have clawed their way up the fashion pack picks , and scratched the eyes of many editors on the front rows of the shows. The look hails back to the 50’s , and with that great shape comes many benefits in the sense of the wider brow line that narrows at an angle to a much smaller base of the lens. This look can be carried of by all face shapes and the look is a very glamorous look think:- Paloma faith, Dita von Teese, the fifties housewife or secretary and not forgetting Dame Edna Everage.
Fancy sunglasses are what can finally be described as sunglasses that are more in your face and bold in statement. Colours rich patterns and quirky or intricate finishing touches. Shapes are varied and range size all that can be said are these are not for someone a person who does not like to stand out from the crowd.
Depending on confidence and shape this is a look that could be carried of by one and all.
Current trend setters are:- The Rizzle Kicks, Tinchie Stryder, Katy Perry,Lady GaGa and Jessie J
Labels that shine to the max are: - Dolce&Gabbana sunglasses , Marc Jacobs sunglasses , Bottega Venetta sunglasses for it’s luxury take on this trend, Dior sunglasses, Balenciaga sunglasses for pushing the boundaries.
Whichever of the trends you Judges’ choose to rock you, can be sure www.sendoptics.com has something for everyone, I have recently increased our discounts to you and made sure that we are the most competitive that we have ever been.
Tell your friends ,your gran ,or your worst enemy where to find those discounted designer sunglasses that are 100% genuine and come direct from the Judge to you.
Keep ‘em peeled, and remember we have two new lines to introduce soon……
Thanks as ever,
The Judge .

Dolce and Gabbana baa rocks!!!!….yeah man!

Hello , and I hope you have had a pleasant Easter My fellow Judges,
All the foil wrappers and the remnants of the chocolate overload all disposed of I hope. I am currently writing this on the sofa with the grey clouds scudding outside. At least the birds are a little quieter at 4 am ! So what is new with you Judges’ ? Did you get out and about like many of the Brit’s who took to the motorways and sky over the break? If so, I do hope you had a great time wherever you went.
At the opticians and also on the website I can safely say that the bank holiday blip in the Summer has not stopped a glut of activity and purchasing…. thank goodness the post office is back open so I can send these off. It seems Stella McCartney sunglasses and Prada designer sunglasses are still top sellers off the website. In store it seems to be a mixture of Balenciaga sunglasses, Paul Smith sunglasses and Oliver Peoples sunglasses.
I am not sure if any of you read the Saturday Telegraph on 07/04/12 , they had the most intense cover shot from behind the scenes with the Italian Duo Dolce & Gabbana. The majority of the article is illustrated with their forth coming A/W12 collection which is a Sicilian take on the Baroque trend that is emerging a strong contender for A/W12.
This look is perfect for the explosive Duo and shows there strengths with strong shapes in flattering feminine shapes, with heavy gilded style patterns, lashings of lace, heavy needlepoint inspired floral shocks amongst a heavy background of black and cream. The collection is one of the strongest in many a year and nods back to Dolce & Gabbana’s show stopping collection in ‘92 La Dolce Vita which is one of the collections that is responsible for hurtling the Duo to the forefront of feminine glamour and dramatic dressing.
Alongside this collection the current trend for lace is inspired by period drama’s, a sense of more opulent times and of course the ultra feminine look that is seeing a surge on the high street.
We do have a limited stock of the exquisite Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses from last season that will dress up any outfit to bring it to the height of style. The sunglasses are a large frame in various colours and have been made using a special technique of laser cut lace then impregnated into an acetate to make what can only be described as a stylish contradiction. Technology versus tradition, Judges all i can say is if it’s a purchase for yourself or a loved one the Dolce & Gabbana designer sunglasses collection will have you looking on top form in the style stakes.
For now Judges I am off to run a bath and catch up with some ancient aliens ( my new addiction )
Ciao for now

Lace is the new black thanks to Dolce and Gabbana

Well hello and welcome fellow Judges,
I do hope the sun is creating a warm fuzzy feeling with you all as it is myself thanks to the lovely warm temperatures of late. Things are going really well here at Judge towers the buzzer on the door has not stopped ringing and the ping of e-mails keeps ringing in my ears.
Well my fellow Judges I have to say you have been rather demanding of late my fingers seem to have made impressions upon the keyboard and you seem to be enjoying my little nougats of fashion news, So all I can say is a big thank you for your your comments and your time you take to read my little gems.
Fashion as we have been saying over the recent blogs is hankering back to the days of crafts and sensible hem lines intermingled with bold colours or pastels and patterns that have us reaching for our shades, Texture is playing a huge part of key looks and embellishment is heavy and almost handy craft in some collections. Part of this trend seems to focus on the age old tradition of lace.
If you think of lace you not only do you think of intricate detailing and techniques passed through the ages, ultra feminine styling and most of all religious ceremonies. What you may not realise is lace is one of the key trends for 2012. However you choose to sport this look this summer remember you saw it here with the introduction of the stunning Dolce and Gabanna sunglasses last year the collection spy’s this seasons trend before it’s time and if you don’t wish to sport the look on your body ladies this is a simple way to incorporate the look into wardrobe. The Dolce and Gabanna sunglasses are made using only the finest quality materials including Intricate lace detail impregnated into the acetate.
The lace collection is available for a limited period and once sold out never to be seen again. These Dolce and Gabbana shades leave their plain and simple designer counterparts in the shadows, All I can leave you to say is all you Ab Fab fans who lust after Lacroix may already know that the Grandfather of french cool has copied this idea with a simple lace print and tried to push it as original concept. The print is not the same quality as the lace being incorporated into the actual frame leaves something to be desired to say the least.
Lace is after all the new black and Dolce and Gabbana were their before it made it’s way to the head of so many collections this season
So for now Judges I say if anything stay streets ahead with Dolce and Gabbana eyewear
Keep em’ peeled and keep the e- mails pinging
Thank you and goodnight
The Judge

Gucci, gucci, Coupe….

Hello fellow Judges,

I hope you are all well and rested. We here at http://www.sendoptics.com/ are finally recovered from keeping abreast of all the latest fashion news and also fashion weeks. We enjoyed London for its usual cutting edge style that keeps Brittania ruling those waves, New York for its Modern corporate look, Paris for its Luxury two fingers up to the economic backlash and my personal favourite was Milan.

Italians do, do it better that is for sure the Milan fashion week has two faces these are Saturday night favourites Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and the breathtaking Miu Miu collection which was the usual riot of color and print. The collection would of made many don there sunglasses. The young, fashion, on trend and forward thinking style mobs loved all of these labels collections. It was for Milan a truly exciting time and forgetting like other fashion packs the depressing economic cut backs.

As polar opposites to these you have the mature grown up power pack of Milan that still dominate the fashion magazines with their multiple lines and even hotels. Labels that helped shape the Italian look from back in the seventies include Giorgio Armani, Prada and of course the label on everyone’s lips at the moment Gucci. The label saw itself back to it’s true self simple shapes, effortless glamour, and a massive smattering of graphic block prints how could they have failed.

At http://www.sendoptics.com/Gucci.html the usual styles of aviator, big styles and angular sunglasses rule the collection and update any wardrobe to look like a gucci ambassador for style. Color is a massive inclusion to the collection this time with berry and nudes and lashings of Platinum and gold.

We love the fantastic reinvention of the collection and the subtler logo still present but not as prominent the famous Interlocking G

So you as the Jury it is upto you to let us know what you think of the new Gucci collection in relation to the other wonders we have to offer.

Have a great couple of days, until next time Keep on judging and keep em peeled

Italians do it better

Well Judges’

We here at sendoptics.com are preparing for summer discussing holidays at the moment. Whilst this cold weather is still keeping us in with its grip, we need something to keep our spirits up!. So have you decided to go abroad or staycationing this year? The UK has has some amazing places to visit. Just think Cornwall, The Lakes, The Cotswolds, Scotland, Wales, ireland and you will have a great time , but here at Judge Opticians Leicester we are talking Italy. Al fresco dining, snappy dressing and of course sunglasses at night in the piazza.

So this takes us to this little blog where we are going to reming you of some of the greats that Italy have produced. Italian fashion can be divided into two camps. You have the simple elegance of Giorgio Armani who celebrated 40 years of fashion opening a hotel in Milan ‘as you do’ last year.along side Armani’s elegance you have the simplicity that is Gucci who the celebrities still love and they create a huge amount of fuss each year with their winning accessories. Check out this seasons Gucci sunglasses.

The other camp you have can be described as brash, showy,or just plain simple glamourous fashion. Dolce and Gabbana have been the darlings for over twent years with their mens and womens lines alike. For the ladies you will have winning black dresses, oodles of leopard print and of course lace ( see the lace collection in the Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses at sendoptics.com ).Bvlgari is famous primarily for its jewellery, watches, handbags and hotels but they have branched out into sunglasses.

Armani sunglasses and Gucci sunglasses are favourites with pretty much anyone who likes simple design that is high on trend. Shapes that you will notice this year are the reintroduction of rounds for Armani, and an overhaul of clasics for Gucci.

Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses and Bvlgari sunglasses are a little more trend led , infact, what the heck, theses sunglasses are high fashion over sized frames and signature finishes which make these sunglasses instantly recognisable. Patterns and bright colours often are used to the max by these designers to stunning effect.

So Judges’, which Italian camp do you fit into?. The sleek and stylishly classic or the high voltage on trend fasionista?. Whichever way you swing, be sure to consider some of the latest looks and inject some Italian passion into your wardrobe, even if it is just accessories.

For now Judges’ we are off to book a summer holiday,

Keep them peeled,

The Judge.

Lace Appeal

Hey Judges,

Welcome to another installment of the www.sendoptics.com blog by none othe than ‘The Judge’. It’s still all go here at Judge Opticians based here in Leicester. Winter seems to have really taken a hold with everyone bringing the cold in with them. The smiles and comments of appreciation though keeps us warm (yes we Judges’ do have a heart).

Well, we hope wherever you happen to be reading this you are currently keeping warm and well.We have had a glut of feedback and comments on our recent posts and are busy listing all these for when we get together with our wonderful website folks, whom without this site would still be in its unimproved state.

We have to make a little apology regarding some of the missing photographs. This is due to the delay in us receiving the actual models and getting a little ahead of ourselves, we are hard at it, we promise.

So we hope you have been keeping up with everything that is going off with the site and are loving the vastly improved appearence, as are we!. If there is anything you need to contact us about please do not hesitate to use the ‘contact us’ form on the homepage (an awful lot of you seem to have noticed it already) we do love to hear from you and any enquiries we do our upmost to respond within 24 hours on a weekday.

Well, on trend that we at www.sendoptics.com are proud to have been pushing last year is finally flourishing as a whole for you ladies, yes we Judges’ are so ahead of our time!. This week Dolce and Gabbana have announced that ‘Lace’ is the new ‘Black’ . Rather a strong comment i hear you cry but no, no, no ! (Is that Amy Winehouse in the background again?).

The trend is coming through in various forms in S/S 2012 from traditional French lace to techno lace with intricate detailing and even lazer cut leather to create subtle lace effects. This look is hardly surprising considering fashion’s nostalgic mood of late. The look is even stronger come A/W 2012 when eveningwear and couture showed little but lace in many of the top collections.

So how does this relate to accessories?. The current trends in sunglasses are no longer just solid hues; nude frames are becoming le mode nouveau (get us being all european!) Dolce And Gabbana being so ahead of their time last year launched the infamous Ultra luxurious ‘Lace Collection’ . These are made of lace embedded in high quality acetate. The sunglasses are available through www.sendoptics.com allbeit of very limited stock (it’s no longer possible to order the collection). Dolce and Gabbana only made so many of each style and they are becoming something of a collectors item even after just one season. So come on ladies, stay ahead of the trends and know for the foreseeable future the only judgement passed on to you will be where did they get such stylish sunglasses.

For now our fellow Judges’ we are signing off as it is time for us to carry on unpacking the new stock (it really does seem like a never ending job, and a massive thank-you to our photographer who seems to have the patience of a saint and whom without we would not be able to present such strong images).

Keep them peeled,

The Judge.
